Welcome To Golden Harmony Records

Hello, and welcome!

My name is Richard J Rose, and I'm delighted you've stopped by.

If you're anything like me, you grew up during one of the greatest periods in popular music. From the mid-1950s through the mid-1970s, every week seemed to bring another wonderful song. We tuned into the radio with excitement, wondering what new tune we'd discover next. Some songs became lifelong favourites, others didn't quite resonate, but the joy was always in discovering something new.

Over the years, we've continued to enjoy those timeless classics—and rightly so. But after listening to many of them for fifty or sixty years, I found myself asking a simple question:

Wouldn't it be wonderful to discover brand-new songs that capture the warmth, melodies, harmonies, and storytelling of those golden decades?

That's why I created Golden Harmony Records.

Every song you'll hear begins with original lyrics I've written and is carefully produced to celebrate the musical styles that inspired me. These aren't covers, and they aren't forgotten old recordings—they're brand-new songs inspired by the music that shaped a generation.

Just like the radio stations we grew up with, not every song will become your personal favourite. Some you'll fall in love with from the very first listen. Others may simply not be your style. And that's perfectly okay. The real joy has always been discovering something new and wondering, "Could this be my next favourite song?"

If that sounds like the kind of musical journey you'd enjoy, then you're in the right place.

So, come aboard, explore the artists, browse the songs, and perhaps recapture a little of the excitement we all felt when discovering a brand-new favourite.

So sit back, relax, subscribe and join the band... let's discover some wonderful new music together!

And honestly, there's no pressure here... just enjoy the visit.

Thank you for stopping by, and I hope you'll visit often.

The Pearls and the Sidecars

There was a time when love wasn’t rushed… When holding hands meant everything… And one simple question could change your whole life:

If not now… when?

This album feels like a forgotten record from another era—one you might stumble across in a dusty crate, gently worn at the edges, yet still full of warmth, hope, and heart.

If Not Now, When? is a journey through the tender, uncertain, and beautiful moments of falling in love. From the innocence of Arm in Arm and the timeless charm of Falling for You the Old Fashioned Way, to the quiet longing of I Was Wondering, each song captures the emotions we all recognize… but don’t always say out loud.

At the heart of the album lies its title track—If Not Now, When?—a reflection on love and the courage it takes to commit. It asks the question we all face at some point: Do we take the chance… or risk losing it forever?

The journey continues with songs of connection and devotion—I Hold Your Hand, Forever Friends, and Love’s Got a Hold of Me—before lifting into the joyful spirit of Skip Along and Sing This Song, led beautifully by Linda and Carol. The album gently settles into reflection with This Is My Paradise, a reminder that sometimes love itself becomes the place we call home.

And as a special closing touch, the bonus track Be My Valentine brings us back to where it all began… simple, sincere, and full of heart.

🎤 The Sound & The Voices

Led by Roger’s warm, classic vocal style, and enriched by the harmonies of Linda and Carol, The Pearls and the Sidecars bring the spirit of late 1950s and early 1960s doo-wop and rock & roll back to life.

With heartfelt duets like I Was Wondering, and standout moments where Linda and Carol take the lead, the album captures the magic of group harmony at its finest—just like the records we grew up loving. credits
